2012 Football University (FBU) Team Massachusetts National Tournament

Tryouts for Team Massachusetts are Currently Scheduled for July 18.

THIS IS AN OPEN TRYOUT AND NO NOMINATIONS ARE NOT REQUIRED

Please mark your calendars and pass the information along to any player or youth coach that knows of a player that may be interested in participating.

Here are the details:

THERE WILL BE THREE DIFFERENT TEAM TRYOUTS MADE UP AS FOLLOWS:
6th grade tryout :: 3pm - 4:30pm (unlimited weight)
7th grade tryout :: 4:30pm - 6:30pm (unlimited weight)
8th grade tryout :: 6:30pm - 8:30pm (unlimited weight)

Location: Westwood High School in Westwood Massachusetts

EACH TEAM WILL HAVE 35-40 PLAYERS SELECTED TO A RESPECTED GRADE & AGE APPROPRIATED TEAM.   

THOSE WHO PARTICIPATED ON THE (FBU) TEAM MASS 7th GRADE TEAM LAST YEAR ARE NOT GUARANTEED A POSITION AND MUST TAKE PART IN THE 2012 TRYOUT

With the 8th Grade Team Massachusetts making it to the final 4 last year and the 7th grade Team being the New England Regional Champion, we are perennial favorites to come out of the Northeast Region.  If you are a rising 6th, 7th or 8th grader make sure you attend this tryout and represent your state in what is being called "The Little League World Series of Youth Football, the BIGGEST event in the country! 

WE ARE IN SEARCH OF THE BEST ATHLETES WITHIN THE STATE OF MASSACHUSETTS TO TAKE PART IN THIS TOURNAMENT EVENT.

THE TOURNAMENT WILL NOT BEGIN UNTIL NOVEMBER 2012 THE WEEK AFTER THANKSGIVING.  ANY ATHLETE SELECTED TO PARTICIPATE WILL NOT BE ASKED TO TAKE PART IN THIS TOURNAMENT EVENT UNTIL THEIR REGULAR SEASON TEAM EVENTS HAVE EXPIRED IN THEIR RESPECTED LEAGUES.

THEREFORE,WE WELCOME ALL ATHLETES FROM VARIOUS LEAGUES INCLUDING INDEPENDENT LEAGUES, POP WARNER AND AYF LEAGUES TO TAKE PART IN THE TRYOUTS BEFORE THEIR REGULAR SEASON BEGINS.  THIS COULD BE THE ONLY OPPORTUNITY TO SHOWCASE YOUR TALENTS LIVE AND IN FRONT OF THE CHOSEN GRADE COACHES FOR EACH TEAM  AS NO MAKE-UP DATES HAVE BEEN SCHEDULED.

THE FEE FOR THE TRYOUT IS $35.00.  THIS IS AN OPEN TRYOUT AND NO NOMINATIONS ARE NOT REQUIRED. HOWEVER, YOU MUST REGISTER TO TAKE PART IN THE TRYOUT.

Internet based Highlight Game clip links will be asked of any player that is chosen by the Coaching Staff to be further evaluated for consideration to being selected. We highly recommend that you begin taking game clips at the beginning of your 2012 season through the month of September.

If asked to submit, the LINKS to highlight film will accepted up to September 30th, 2012. The teams will be finalized on September 30th, 2012. All grade rosters must be finalized and submitted to football University by October 1st, 2012.
